Georgia’s Medicaid waiver programs allow qualifying individuals to receive essential health-related support services at home instead of in a nursing facility. These programs cover non-medical and medical care services for those who meet specific financial, medical, and functional eligibility requirements—so there’s no out-of-pocket cost for those who qualify.

The CCSP Medicaid Waiver Program helps older adults and individuals with functional impairments avoid nursing home placement by receiving care at home. To be eligible, participants must meet the same medical, functional and financial eligibility criteria as for placement in a nursing facility under Medicaid and be approved by a physician. CCSP In-Home Services May Include:
The SOURCE Medicaid Waiver is an enhanced case management program for individuals who are medically fragile and require both ongoing primary medical care and in-home support. This program serves adults 65+ or those under 65 with qualifying disabilities.
With Elite Home Care as your SOURCE provider, clients benefit from a coordinated care approach that integrates home services with your medical provider’s plan of care.

This program is designed to support individuals who prefer to remain at home rather than enter a nursing facility but still need daily assistance to live safely and comfortably.
The Community Care Services Program (CCSP) and the Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program (EDWP) are both part of Georgia’s Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services.
In simple terms:
• EDWP is the umbrella program that includes several waiver options (Including CCSP & SOURCE) to help elderly and disabled adults receive care at home instead of in a nursing facility.
• CCSP is one of the specific waiver programs offered under the EDWP. It provides personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, and limited nursing services.
CCSP is a type of EDWP waiver, and both help individuals stay safe and supported at home with services funded by Medicaid.
In many cases, Medicaid Home Care services are provided at no cost to eligible individuals. However, depending on your financial situation, you may be required to contribute a cost share as determined by the Georgia Medicaid program.
