Our Personalized In-Home Care Process
Together, we assess and understand your loved one’s unique situation and recommend a personalized plan for their particular needs. This gets them the care they need as soon as they need it.
1
The Initial Call and Meeting
From the moment you call our office, we begin considering you and your loved one’s specific needs. On the initial call, we ask questions to form a basic needs assessment. After the call, we set up an in-home visit with you and the rest of your family. This visit allows us to gather even more information, answer questions, and let you understand how we can help.
2
The Personalized Care Plan
With Elite Home Care, you will always know what services are being provided to your loved ones. After our initial meeting, we develop a Personalized Care Plan. This plan is tailored to your loved one’s specific needs. We make detailed recommendations on exactly what kind of services we feel would benefit them. We then arrange a follow-up meeting with you to go over the Personalized Care Plan and modify it as you see fit.
3
Caregiver Matching
Once you approve the Personalized Care Plan, a Personal Care Coordinator will match the most appropriate caregiver based on numerous factors: services needed, your loved one’s interests, preferences, and the compatibility of personalities between the caregiver and your loved one. By looking at the whole situation, we see to it that your loved ones are matched with the best caregivers as possible. Of course, if you are not satisfied with the referred caregiver, we are happy to select a different caregiver to meet your needs.
4
Care Supervision
Our caregivers keep extensive notes about the care they provide. Those notes are kept at your loved one’s home and are available at any time

Frequently Asked Questions
Companion care focuses on emotional support, conversation, and assistance with light household tasks that help maintain a safe, social, and independent lifestyle. In-home personal care includes hands-on help with activities like bathing, dressing, and mobility, and is better suited for individuals who need more physical assistance.
While our caregivers offer meaningful support, they are not licensed medical professionals. They cannot:
• Administer medications (including injections or prescription handling)
• Provide medical or skilled nursing care
• Perform wound care, catheter care, or similar procedures
• Handle heavy lifting or transfers without proper equipment or staffing
• Make medical decisions on behalf of your loved one
• Manage financial matters like paying bills or handling money
If your loved one needs medical or hands-on support, we can help you explore our Skilled Nursing services.
Companion care may be covered under certain Medicaid Waiver programs in Georgia, such as the Community Care Services Program (CCSP) or Elderly and Disabled Waiver Program (EDWP). Our team can help determine eligibility and walk you through the application process. Private pay options are also available.
We begin with an in-home assessment conducted by a licensed RN. During this visit, we learn about your loved one’s needs, personality, preferences, and routine. We then match them with a caregiver who best fits their lifestyle, interests, and care needs—to ensure a comfortable and lasting connection.
Care plans are flexible. Whether your loved one needs companionship for a few hours a week or daily visits, we’ll work with your schedule and needs to create a plan that provides the right level of support.
Short answer is: it depends. Some caregivers are comfortable driving clients who are ambulatory.
